Six Car Crash Backs Up Traffic On I-44

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A six car crash caused a major headache for drivers on I-44 Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. on eastbound I-44 near Sheridan.

Traffic is already narrowed in the area due to construction.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said one car wasn't able to stop, causing a six car pileup.

Trooper Kyle Borden was nearby and had a difficult time reaching the scene due to heavy traffic.

"Had to use the front of my car to push cars out of the roadway," he said.

Borden said one person suffered minor injuries. That person is expected to be okay.
