SAN ANTONIO – The Shock have experienced some tough stretches during their time in Tulsa, but this one is officially in the books as the worst.

A 72-64 loss to the Silver Stars on Saturday handed Tulsa its franchise-record 14th-straight loss.

That record dates all the way back to the days when the franchise was still in Detroit in 2002. The Shock tied that 13-game losing streak on Friday with a loss to the Indiana Fever, and Saturday's loss broke it.

Tulsa lost its third game to San Antonio this season, but this one was at least closer than the previous 20-plus margins.

The Shock were able to cut it to six points with 45 seconds remaining on a 3-pointer from Kayla Pederson. But free throws from the Silver Stars sealed the deal after allowing the Shock to get tantalizingly close.

Tiffany Jackson once again led the Shock, this time with 27 points and 10 boards. Pederson added 14 points and five boards.

Former OU guard Danielle Robinson had four points and four assists for the Silver Stars.

The Shock (1-19) will try to halt their losing streak with a game at Los Angeles on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m.
