EDMOND, Oklahoma -- It was worth the wait for Edmond Memorial.
No. 1 Edmond Memorial defeated No. 2 Midwest City 63-50 Thursday night.
After snow delayed the highly anticipated match-up between for two weeks, the two best teams in 6A finally met for the second time.
Midwest City was eager to avenge a heart-breaking 60-57 overtime loss to Memorial earlier in the season.
The Colbert Brothers, Cortez and Cortrael, led the way early for Midwest City in the first half.
But Edmond took a 5-point lead into halftime and pulled away in the second half.
Obi Emegano and the Woodard brothers, James and Jordan, led Edmond to their 19th win of the season.
In the girls game, the No.3 ranked Bulldogs looked to avenge their 74-48 loss to the No. 1 ranked Bombers from earlier this season.
Despite their best effort, Midwest City, helped by Ashley Clark, built a lead and extended it in the second half to go win 74-58.
