Top-Ranked Midwest City Advances to Finals

The Lady Bombers will be moving on to the finals in the Carl Albert Titan Classic.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Midwest City Lady Bombers advanced to the finals of the Carl Albert Titan Classic with the 50-35 win over the Millwood Lady Falcons, in a battle of top ranked teams.

Midwest City, the top ranked team in 6A, outscored Millwood 20-6 in the 2nd half to pull out the victory.

Millwood, the top ranked team in 2A led most of the first half and led by as much as seven, until late in the 2nd quarter when MWC went on a 10 to 3 run and took a 30-29 into halftime.

The Lady Falcons went cold in the 2nd half, not scoring a single field goal in the fourth quarter until less than a minute left in the game. Millwood scored just six points the final 16 minutes.

Teanna Reid, the sophomore from Millwood, had 12 points at half, but foul trouble haunted her the 2nd half, and she scored the only field goal in the 3rd quarter that gave the Lady Falcons a 31-30 lead, their final lead of the game. Reid finished with 14 to lead the Lady Falcons.

Adrianna White led MWC with 17. Kaylon Williams, the OU commit from MWC was held to just 6 points.

Midwest City improves to 15-0 and will face the Carl Albert/Del City winner at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Millwood falls to 11-2 and will face the Carl Albert/Del City loser for the third-place finish Monday at 4 p.m.
