SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – The Lady Wolves, backed by a strong showing by their student body, put a beating on Ardmore, winning their first game of the tourney 70-21.
The game opened with a long 3-pointer by Ardmore’s Skylar Littlechild, but the Lady Wolves went on a 26-0 to put the game away. The deep deficit was too much to overcome for the Lady Tigers, as they failed to produce double-digit points in each of the game’s quarters.
Having only scored three points in the first quarter, seven in each of the second and third quarters, and finishing the game’s final eight minutes with only four points, the Lady Tigers simply couldn’t produce enough offense to gain any momentum against Shawnee.
Littlechild finished with six points, while Jaquez Lee added five.
Shawnee’s Caitlyn Ramirez led all scorers with 17 points, Kelsee Grovey finished with 15, Micalea Yu added 13 and Kaylee Allen scored nine.
