Trojans overwhelm Bulldogs in Day 1 of Skiatook Invitational

SKIATOOK, Oklahoma – After a tough loss to Union on Tuesday, the Jenks Trojans bounced back with a 63-30 victory over Skiatook on Thursday.
This matchup was a first round game in the Skiatook Invitational, which runs through Saturday. The host Bulldogs trailed by only 14 at halftime, but Jenks took over from there. The Trojans’ lead ballooned to 30 in the third quarter and through much of the fourth quarter, most of the starters were on the bench. Trojan junior Kody Hammontree was the high scorer with 18 points, while Skiatook junior Connor Appelberg led the ‘Dogs with 10 points.
The tournament continues on Friday, when Skiatook will play Owasso at 2:30 and Jenks will face 6A top-ranked Edmond Memorial at 8:30 pm.
