Sperry Tops Will Rogers 49-39

OOLOGAH, Oklahoma – In day 2 action at the Oologah HS Basketball Tournament, the Sperry Pirates held off the Will Rogers Ropers 49-39.

Behind a game-high 20 points from center CJ Cole and another 14 from point guard Blake Teel, the Pirates were able to maintain a double-digit lead throughout most of the game.

Sperry led 26-14 at the half and 38-26 at the end of the 3rd before finishing with a ten-point victory. The Ropers leading scorer was guard Elias Dixon, who contributed 10 points in the loss.

The Ropers will play again in Oologah on Friday at 5:30 pm, while Sperry continues tournament play on Friday at 8:30 pm.
