OKLAHOMA CITY--Guthrie finished out the regular season in stellar style beating Southeast 48-13.
Sophomore quarterback Bryan Dutton was 11-for-11 on the night for a total of 275 yards and three touchdowns.
One of his targets, senior Kentrell Brothers had seven receptions for 141 yards and one touchdown, while fellow senior Devonte’ McCully had three receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
Left tackle Blake Belcher for Guthrie did not play in Friday’s game due to a broken foot. The junior offensive lineman, who is arguably the best on the team, broke his foot in a pick-up basketball game on Tuesday and is out for the year.
Southeast finishes with a 3-7 record overall and 0-7 in district.
Guthrie (9-1, 7-0) finished first in district 5A-1 and will open playoffs against Altus Friday Nov. 12 at 7:00 p.m. inside Jelsma Stadium.
