Owasso Rolls Past Sand Springs

The Rams rolled in this week’s 6A-4 matchup against the Sandites.

OWASSO, Oklahoma--Owasso clinched its third straight win beating Sand Springs 49-19.

The Rams (5-4, 4-2) got it started in the first quarter with Derrick Hargar and some trickery, but it is picked off by Owasso’s Jaylen Lowe.

Later on Keon Hatcher takes the handoff and blasts to the end zone putting the Rams on the board 7-0

Sand Springs (1-8, 1-5) tries to answer as Richard Dehart surges downfield but loses the football.

The Rams takeover and take advantage as Scottie Preslow barrels in for the score making it 14-0.

On the evening six different Rams scored to give the Rams their third straight district win.

Sand Springs will host the Bixby Spartans Nov. 4 to finish up their regular season while Owasso travels to Ponca City Nov. 5 to take on the Wildcats.
