NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A week after notching their first win in three seasons, the Putnam City West Patriots fell to the undefeated Norman Tigers 64-7.
The Tigers (7-0, 3-0) jumped out to 14-0 lead before their offense had even touched the field. Norman returned the opening kickoff for a score and then returned an interception for a touchdown on PC West’s (1-7, 1-3) first possession.
By the end of the first quarter Norman had amassed a 42-0 lead.
The Tigers’ gauntlet run through District 6A-3 continues Oct. 21 with a road test against the Broken Arrow Tigers (6-1, 4-1), while the Patriots will try to get back on track at Muskogee (4-3, 2-2).
