EDMOND, Oklahoma – Coming off a solid win over Del City, the Huskies came away with a disappointing 56-34 loss to the Mustang Broncos on Friday.
Mustang was impressive early, jumping out to a 14-0 lead. Wide receiver David Glidden caught a 69-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter to put his team up 21-7.
Mustang quarterback Brandon Taylor had 354 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air in the first half, giving the Broncos a 42-21 lead at the break.
The Huskies were trailing by as many as 35 at one point – 56-21 in the third quarter – before picking up a couple of late touchdowns when the game was already out of hand.
Mustang (3-2) will look to take its momentum on the road to take on winless Edmond Santa Fe. Meanwhile, Edmond North (3-2) will look to rebound at Putnam City.
