OKLAHOMA CITY -- Heritage Hall’s Barry J. Sanders is not actually Barry Sanders, Jr. as he is commonly known, but you couldn’t tell from his performance Friday as he led Heritage Hall to a 52-34 win over NOAH.
On the Chargers second play from scrimmage, the junior went off tackle, cut back to the middle of the field in a flash he was 73 yards down the field for the Chargers’ first score of the game.
By the end of the first half Sanders had amassed 264 yards and four scores on nine carries for a whopping 29.3 yards per carry.
He left the game in the third quarter with just 13 carries but he made the most of them, racking up 313 yards and five touchdowns.
When he left the game, Heritage Hall led handily 45-6.
Thursday, Sanders spoke to Oklahoma Sports Mobile Journalist Jessica Coody about his college preference.
Despite just being in his junior year, Sanders has interest from several major colleges and has four favorites – Alabama, UCLA, Florida State and his father’s alma mater Oklahoma State.
