NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Eisenhower Eagles extended their winning streak to three games Friday with a 27-20 victory over Norman North.
The Eagles (3-1, 1-0) built a 27-10 lead going into the fourth quarter, but had to hold off a late push to secure the win. Raymond Denby scored on a one-yard touchdown run – his second score of the day – and the Timberwolves (1-3, 0-1) added a field goal to cut the lead to seven.
Norman North came up with a late defensive stop that would have given it a chance to tie the game, but the Timberwolves fumbled the ensuing punt and allowed Lawton Ike to run out the clock.
The Eagles’ last two wins were narrow ones, as they beat MacArthur 31-28 last week. They will face Choctaw (2-2, 1-0) next week, while Norman North will play Yukon (3-1, 0-1).
