The Jags faced rivals Moore Lions in week one, earning both their first win of the season and this week’s Moore War victory.

MOORE, Oklahoma -- The Westmoore Jaguars earned their first win of the season, beating the Moore Lions Friday in the teams’ season opener, 21-14.

The game, known as the Moore War, marked the 23rd time the two teams met.

The heated rivalry continued this year, as Westmoore’s Lionard Fombe handed the ball off to running back Cody Feuerborn for the 5 yard touchdown, putting the Jags ahead 7-0.

They were able to hold off the Lions for the 21-14 win.

The Westmoore Jaguars will play Southmoore SaberCats in Week 2, while the Moore Lions face the Norman Tigers.
