GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -- Guthrie wide receiver Kentrell Brothers was No. 6 on the Oklahoma Sports Top 30; if his first outing of 2010 was any indicator, he should have been higher as the Blue Jays topped the Duncan Demons 25-0.
Brothers’ only caught four passes in season opener, the first three were the Blue Jays’ (1-0) only three touchdowns of the night.
His first was a 46-yard run and catch for a score, followed by a 50-yard touchdown and his third a 49 yard score. He ended the night with just one more reception, a 25 yarder to bring his total for the night to 170 yards.
Guthrie tries to build off the momentum next week against Ponca City, while the Demons (0-1) will try to grab their first win of the season at home against Noble.
