EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The Edmond Public School Board voted Monday not to take disciplinary action against Edmond North softball coach Rick Nordyke.
Several parents of student-athletes filed complaints agains the coach, accusing him of bullying players.
“I think some of this was bullying by parents for playing time,” said Linda Dixon, whose daughter pitches for the Huskies. “This sends a message to everyone that coaches can’t be bullied for playing time.”
Nordyke coached the Huskies baseball team for 15 years before deciding to step down last season. He now serves as the head coach for the school’s girls softball program.
