Source: Star Spencer’s Darrell Hall to be Named Booker T. Washington Football Coach

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Star Spencer football coach Darrell Hall will be the next Booker T. Washington coach, according to an Oklahoma Sports source.

Hall, who led the Bobcats to a 4A state title last season, visited the Booker T. Washington campus on Friday and will be introduced at a news conference on Monday afternoon.

Tulsa Public Schools athletic director Stephanie Spring said in a release that it, “wanted to keep a tight lid on the new coach’s identity” and that the new coach, “was no stranger to the winners circle and certainly has what it takes to lead the Hornets to another championship game.”

Hall replaces Antwain Jimmerson, who resigned in January and was awaiting the district’s decision of whether his athletics responsibilities would be restored after an investigation uncovered multiple violations of OSSAA rules.

“These kids deserve a fair shot at a strong season,” Spring said. “I have every confidence this coach will be just the spark the Hornets need.”
