CHOCTAW, Oklahoma – The Mustang Broncos didn’t start strong, but they still finished up in style. The Broncos keep their state tournament hopes alive with a 60-54 overtime victory over Lawton Eisenhower at Choctaw High School.
The Eagles jumped out to a quick 9-0 advantage in the first quarter, but the Broncos quickly erased the deficit and captured the lead in the second quarter.
Zach Grismer paced the Broncos with 22 points, while Zach Brown finished with 18 points for the Eagles.
The Broncos victory sets up a game against No. 1 Edmond Santa Fe on Saturday at Choctaw. The winner will advance to the state tournament next week in Tulsa.
