OKLAHOMA CITY -- In the opening game of the Class A state tournament, Calumet held off Fort Cobb-Broxton 42-34 to advance to the state semifinals.
Calumet led 26-19 at half, but only scored five points in the third quarter and Fort Cobb cut the lead to 31-27.
Fort Cobb would take its first lead with 4:16 remaining in the game. But Calumet would answer right back and hold onto the lead for good.
Katelyn Richardson and Emily Eaton both had 12 points for Calumet.
Calumet advances to the semifinals against Chattanooga at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
