Putnam City West Beats Mustang

The Patriots will face rival Putnam City for a chance to advance to the state tournament.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Putnam City West advances to the area tournament with the 59-43 win over Mustang.

PC West jumped out to a 41-19 lead at half, thanks once again to the dominant duo in Tyler Neal and Amric Fields who combined for 30 of the teams 41 points at the break.

Fields led the Patriots with 30 points and Neal chipped in with 13. Jacob Strassle led Mustang with 12 points.

PC West will now face rival Putnam City for the fourth time this season for a trip to the state tournament.

Putnam City won over Lawton Eisenhower 71-57 to advance to the area tournament. The Patriots' won all three of the meetings against the Pirates this season.

The game will be played Friday, March 5th, time and place TBD.
