Amber-Pocasset Girls Push Past Sentinel Late

The game stayed close for much of the night, but Pocasset broke away in the fourth quarter.

AMBER-POCASSET, Oklahoma – The Amber-Pocasset girls moved past the first round of the Class A regional tournament with a 40-29 victory over Sentinel Thursday.

Am-Po led by only one at halftime and the game stayed close throughout the third quarter, but Am-Po pulled away in the fourth. Michelle Olsen led Amber-Pocasset with 12 points, and Jessi Treadaway added 11.

Cailey Maddox led Sentinel with 10 points, and Kristan Rhoades scored eight. Sentinel will now face Sterling Friday in the loser’s bracket, while Amber-Pocasset will move on to face Chickasha in the regional finals on Saturday.
