MOORE, Oklahoma --The Southmoore Lady Sabercats (4-14) couldn’t bounce back from a 15-point deficit in the first quarter, losing Tuesday night to the Norman North Lady Timberwolves (12-3), 47-33.
Norman North scored all of the first quarter’s 11 points, adding an additional four points in the beginning of the second. Southmoore battled back, pulling within eight points of the Lady Timberwolves. The Sabercat’s Caitlyn Strider hit a three, bringing the score to 17-9.
The eight-point difference was the closest Southmoore would come to matching Norman North.
The score was 22-9 by halftime and Norman North held a double-digit lead throughout the game.
Southmoore’s Kayla Tucker scored 10 points.
Norman North’s Mariah Turner scored 17 total for the night, 11 of those points coming in the first half. Haley Scott added 13 points for the Lady Timberwolves.
