No. 1 Douglass Trojans Defeat Del City Eagles

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- The top-rated Douglass Trojans defeated the Del City Eagles 70-55 in the first round of the Carl Albert Titan Classic.

"We got a shot [at winning the whole thing] but so does eight or nine other teams," Douglass head coach Terry Long said. "We just got to execute and do what we're supposed to do."

Romond Jenkins had 23 points for the Trojans.

Douglass led 40-23 at the half and pushed their lead to 32 points in the third quarter.
