OKLAHOMA CITY – Wednesday was Garrett Hermanski’s night.

First, Hermanski hit a jumper at the buzzer in regulation to force overtime. He then repeated the performance in the extra period, hitting another buzzer beater to give Deer Creek a 70-69 victory over Northwest Classen.

Hermanski’s heroics send Deer Creek to the second round of the McGuinness Classic, where the Antlers will face host Bishop McGuinness. The Irish defeated defending tournament champion Guthrie 65-51.
