OKLAHOMA CITY – The Norman Tigers ended a two-game losing streak Thursday with a thrilling 29-26 win over Putnam City in double overtime.
Norman (3-4, 2-2) and PCO (2-5, 1-3) went back and forth all night. Putnam City held a 26-18 lead in the third quarter, but Norman scored a touchdown and converted a two-point conversion to tie the score at 26 going into the fourth.
Both teams went scoreless through the fourth quarter and the first overtime period before Norman kicker Sheldon Spelman made a 25-yard field goal to win the game.
The Tigers will try to build on their win Oct. 23 against Westmoore (3-3, 2-1).
