TULSA COUNTY -- An abandoned Turley church building went up in flames late Tuesday night. The church was located in the 6000 block of North Madison Avenue.
Turley firefighters responded to the fire, but had to call in the Tulsa Fire Department to help.
Because of the size of the fire and the lack of nearby water supply, firefighters had a hard time battling the flames.
Turley Fire Chief Keith Ross says the building had been abandoned for a long time.
No was injured.
There's no word yet on how the fire started or who owned the building.
Fire officials say they don't know if this fire is related to a recent string of arsons across North Tulsa.
