KAY COUNTY -- A Blackwell man was killed Thursday when his motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck that ran a stop sign in Kay County.
It happened Thursday afternoon just east on Tonkawa in Kay County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist, Daniel Blaylock, was driving east on North Avenue when he was hit by a pickup truck driving south on P Street. Troopers said Blaylock was ejected nearly 150 feet.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the truck, Zachary Clinton, 19, was treated and released from a Ponca City hospital. His passenger, Gary Simmons, 11, was also treated and released from a Ponca City hospital.
Another passenger, Shelby Cowan, 11, was taken to a Ponce City hospital in good condition.
According to an accident report from the OHP, all three were wearing seatbelts.
