TULSA, Oklahoma – Former Owasso pitcher and Baltimore Orioles draft pick Dylan Bundy has been named Baseball America/ USA Today's 2011 National Player of the Year.
The award is Bundy's second national award of the year, as he was honored as the 2011 Gatorade Player of the Year earlier this month.
Bundy was drafted fourth overall in this year's MLB draft by the Baltimore Orioles, but remains unsigned at this time.
Last season at Owasso, Bundy went 11-0 with a 0.20 ERA and 158 strikeouts in 71 innings pitched. The pitching ace had eight shutouts as well as a no-hitter.
From the plate, Bundy hit .467 with 11 home runs and 54 RBI in 105 at-bats.
Broken Arrow's Archie Bradley was also named to the First-Team All USA list. Bradley, who was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks went 12-1 last season for the Tigers with one save and a 0.29 ERA.
