OKLAHOMA CITY -- Okmulgee County had one of the highest unemployment rates in the state for the month of May, according to a release from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.

The report was issued on Wednesday.

Okmulgee reported an 8.4 percent unemployment rate, second only to Latimer and McCurtain Counties that reported 8.5 percent.

The counties with the lowest unemployment include Roger Mills (2.6), Beaver (2.7), and Dewey (2.9).
