Woman Finds Man In Child's Closet During Tulsa Robbery

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A woman and her child were locked in a bedroom closet during a robbery overnight Saturday at the Evergreen Park Apartment complex at 8300 E. 25th Place in Tulsa.

The woman told police her husband was outside showing a vehicle he was trying to sell when she heard a sound in her child's room at about midnight. When she went to check on the child, a man came out of the bedroom closet.

The robbery suspect put his hand over the woman's mouth and told her not to scream. A second man had also entered the apartment, and the intruders locked the woman and her child in the closet as they searched for cash.

Police say the robbers left with a couple of checks. The woman and child were not injured.
