TULSA, Oklahoma – Tulsa finished out an ugly stretch of games against the Arkansas Travelers with a 3-1 loss on Sunday night.
After dropping two games in a doubleheader on Saturday, the Drillers failed to produce offensively again on Sunday.
Tulsa got on the board first with a solo homer from Thomas Field – his seventh of the year – in the bottom of the third.
But the Driller offense became stagnant after that while allowing a dramatic turnaround in the fifth.
Arkansas' Matt Cusick and Angel Castillo homered in back-to-back at-bats to reverse the fortunate and take the lead.
The Travelers added another run in the top of the eighth for good measure.
Tulsa registered 12 hits in the game but could only covert one run out of them.
Josh Sullivan picked up the loss for the Drillers while Trevor Reckling got the win for Arkansas.
Tulsa will start a four-game home series against Northwest Arkansas on Monday at 7:05 p.m.
