SPRINGDALE, Ark. – The Drillers have had a couple of rough games this series, but nothing like this.
Tulsa fell behind quickly and things got ugly in a 16-2 road loss to Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday night.
Tulsa's only two runs came in the fourth inning, but by that time they were already down 7-0.
A wild pitch and an RBI single from Wilin Rosario brought in two runs to cut the lead to 7-2.
But Northwest Arkansas had four innings where it scored three runs or more, and the game was never really in question.
The Naturals put up their 16 runs on 13 hits.
Josh Sullivan had a rough day on the mound, to say the least. He gave up 10 runs on eight hits in six innings.
The Drillers' series with Northwest Arkansas continues Wednesday at noon.
