Downtown Tulsa Events Prompt Weekend Road Closures

TULSA, Oklahoma -- It's going to be a busy weekend in downtown Tulsa with events Saturday, June 11, 2011 causing several street closures.

Street closures begin Friday evening and continue through noon Sunday for the Tulsa Tough Ride and Race and Tulsa Pride Festival and Parade.

Tulsa Tough runs from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday though streets will be blocked off starting at 7:30 a.m.

The Tulsa Pride Festival runs for two days, Saturday and Sunday. Street closures began at 8 p.m. Friday and run through noon Sunday.

Events include the Gay Pride Parade from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
