Tulsa Family Gets Habitat Home

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa family is settling into their new home for the very first night.

Gwendolyn Savoy received the keys from Habitat for Humanity and Saint Bernard Parish at a special ceremony Saturday morning.

She's put a lot of sweat equity into the house, learned how to make simple repairs and manage her money better.

"It's been a struggle, but it's been a blessing on top of that because we had beautiful people that came out, so it's been a blessing," Savory said.

Savoy says she's really looking forward to having a place where her family can gather and grow together.
