TULSA, Oklahoma -- A case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time gets two men arrested early Thursday morning in Tulsa.
Tulsa Police had received a call about two men threatening a clerk at the QuikTrip at 61st and Lewis. Police say the men threatened the clerk with a gun before leaving in a white Cadillac Escalade.
Just minutes later, police spotted a white Escalade occupied by two men, but when they tried to stop it the SUV sped off. The chase went west on 61st from Lewis to Peoria, then south to about 64th where the SUV turned into an apartment complex.
Police quickly learned the two were not the men involved in the QuikTrip incident. However, the passenger had some outstanding warrants so police arrested him. They also arrested the driver for eluding officers.
Both were taken to the Tulsa County jail.
Police say the SUV belonged to the driver's uncle, who lives in the apartment complex. Police say they had the SUV towed from the complex as part of their investigation.
