CHELSEA, Oklahoma -- A Claremore man was killed in a single car crash near Chelsea Sunday morning.
The victim, 21-year-old Kyle Botkin, was partially ejected when the car he was driving struck a tree on Rogers County Road 370, five miles west of Highway 66.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Botkin was speeding and lost control of his 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier. The car left the highway, rolled once and took out a post before slamming into a tree.
Troopers say the Botkin was not wearing a seat belt. It's not known if alcohol was a factor.
