TULSA, Oklahoma -- A race between a car and a motorcycle ended with one man being rushed to the hospital.
It happened in the 4500 block of East 71st Street just before 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
Police say a Chrysler Crossfire was following a Suzuki GSXR motorcycle in the middle third lane when the 18-year-old driver of the Chrysler attempted to pass on the left, apparently to race the bike.
According to police, the teen driver came upon a slower car in his lane and then cut back to the right, clipping the back end of the bike.
The driver of the bike ended up on the hood of the car and then thrown more than 20 feet down the street. The driver suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police say the teen was driving his mother's car with an expired license.
