In case you were wondering

I was in Joe DeForest’s group at the annual Mike Gundy Media Golf Play day at Karsten Creek in Stillwater on Tuesday. The OSU Associate Head Coach is a strong man, and when he connects the golf ball can go a long way. DeFo hit driver/5-iron to the par-5 18th and left us 20 feet for eagle. Not that any of us in our fivesome were able to make the putt- just one of those days.

As for football, DeForest is realistic. He knows the Cowboys will play a lot of youngsters, that a lot of leadership and experience from last season is gone. But those youngsters have become progressively more talented in OSU’s recruiting classes over the past few years, so the ceiling in Stillwater is a bit higher- even if the expectations from outsiders aren’t.
