Holiday weekend digested...it stayed down

With Bedlam in the rearview mirror (just not enough yet for OSU), time for a few bullet points to recap the Thanksgiving weekend:

-OU's defense was really, really good...how in the world, in Lubbock?...but that's been asked before

-Zac Robinson's ankle must have hurt...but would Brandon Weeden have been able to overcome all the defensive pressure?...probably not enough

-both teams have to come out of Bedlam with some sort of an empty feeling...the Cowboys for obvious reasons, and the Sooners, while happy with a dominant win, have to look back at 4 of the 5 losses with regret

-Bob Stoops to Notre Dame...as my good friend and Oklahoma Sports colleague JB Long says...it's about to become 'Turn down Notre Dame Season'...not that Stoops will use ND to make even more money from OU, but other coaches might...giving Notre Dame status as an indirect philanthropist

-TU's escape of Memphis might provide some momentum for the spring...it at least stopped the bleeding

-OU's basketball trip to Alaska...too cold

-OSU's basketball trip to Las Vegas...nice and warm

-TU's trip up the road to Springfield...not as nice as many thought it would be

-ORU's trip to Cancun...not half bad

-The OU women traveling to the Virgin Islands...bad...good...bad (without Danielle Robinson for much of the second half against 5th ranked Notre Dame)

-The OSU Cowgirls in the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas...good...then a tough double-OT loss to Michigan State...at 4-2, OSU is already exceeding a lot of expectations

-too much Turkey

-too many desserts

-not enough sleep
