NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Norman Police confirms that Oklahoma freshman Marquis Anderson was arrested Saturday on a complaint of petty larceny at the Dillard’s in Sooner Fashion Mall in Norman.

Mall security caught the 18-year old freshman attempting to steal clothing from the store Saturday. He received a city citation and was released at the scene, promising to appear in Norman Municipal Court at a later date.

Considered a top-20 recruit nationally by Rivals.com, Anderson enrolled at OU at the start of the Spring Semester to participate in spring practice, after graduating early from Byron P. Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas.
