TULSA, Okla. – A big day from outfielder Brandon King led to a 7-2 victory for Oral Roberts over IPFW on Sunday.

King brought home three runs in the game, which was delayed more than three hours due to heavy rain.

An RBI from Chris Elder in the first got ORU on the board quickly.

King then picked up an RBI double in the third inning to give the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead.

The Mastodons got on the board in the bottom of the third inning, but ORU responded with authority in the fifth.

Chris Williams and Nick Baligod both found base, and King picked up his second and third RBIs of the day to give Oral Roberts a 4-1 lead.

ORU extended its lead thanks to three runs in the bottom of the eighth.

Dan Martoney got the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles, allowing a run and three hits in three innings. Jason Stacy picked up his first career save.

The Golden Eagles (22-17, 11-5 Summit) will now head to Oakland for a conference showdown starting at 2 p.m. Friday in Rochester, Michigan.
