Jordan Clarkson Named Freshman of the Week
Tulsa’s Clarkson earned this third such honor this week after helping TU to two wins last week.

TULSA, Oklahoma –University of Tulsa guard Jordan Clarkson was named the Conference USA co-freshman of the Week after a big week of play that helped the Golden Hurricane to two wins.
The San Antonio native averaged 17 points and 67 percent shooting from the field last week in TU’s wins over SMU and East Carolina. He also made 12 of his 13 free throws in those games.
This is Clarkson’s third freshman of the week award this season and he shares this week’s honors with Southern Miss guard D.J. Newbill.
Against SMU Saturday, Clarkson led the TU bench with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor, and made 4-of-5 free throws. Wednesday against East Carolina, Clarkson scored 17 points in 19 minutes, making 4-of-6 shots from the floor and all eight free throws. He also added four steals and three assists.
Tulsa is back in action Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Marshall.
