NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma’s Kenny Stills and Tony Jefferson were arrested early Saturday morning in Norman.
“Mr. Stills was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol under 21,” said Jennifer Newell of the Norman Police Department. Stills was arrested shortly after 2 a.m.
Jefferson was arrested 20 minutes later on complaints of interference with process during Saturday morning’s incident, which occurred on the 700 block of Jenkins Avenue.
“He was not listening to the police officers’ commands,” Newell said.
Kenny Mossman, OU Senior Associate Athletic Director, said the matter is being handled internally.
Both freshmen saw playing time in the 2010-11 season. Wide receiver Stills caught 61 passes this season for the Sooners, including five touchdowns. Defensive back Jefferson had 65 tackles and two interceptions.
Oklahoma Sports will have updates as they become available.
