TULSA, Oklahoma – The last time the Oral Roberts women’s basketball team played at home was 2 days after Thanksgiving. And the Golden Eagles lost that game to Houston. Since then, Oral Roberts spent a month travelling around the Midwest.
On Wednesday night, the Golden Eagles finally returned home as they hosted IPFW. This game was close for the first few minutes, but Oral Roberts made sure it didn’t stay that way for long.
They went on a 10-0 run in the middle of the first half to take a big lead and they never looked back. Jaci Bigham led all scorers with 33 points and 9 assists and Kevi Luper had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. And, thanks to those big performances, Oral Roberts picked up a nice win, beating IPFW 91-78.
That’s not the end of the good news for the Golden Eagles. They also get to stay in town for their next game. That will be on Friday night when they host Oakland.
