STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State safety Daytawion Lowe may miss the 2010 season after injuring a shoulder during a voluntary offseason workout.
The sophomore, listed as the No. 2 free safety in OSU's spring depth chart, injured the shoulder after getting tied up with a teammate at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Oklahoma Sports's John Holcomb confirmed Lowe will have surgery to repair the shoulder and he'll rejoin the team in the spring.
"Yeah, he's going to have shoulder surgery," Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy told the Tulsa World. "The early diagnosis ... is that he'll be out for the year."
Lowe is a Carl Albert High School product and appeared in 11 games as a freshman last season.
