LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Tulsa Drillers were unable to get their offense going Sunday and fell to the Arkansas Travelers 4-1, snapping their three-game win streak.
Tulsa’s (40-66) only run of the game came on a Scott Beerer sacrifice fly to bring Charles Blackmon home from third.
The Travelers (51-54) tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single to center to bring Jeremy Moore home from second.
The two teams remained knotted at 1-1 into the bottom of the eighth inning when Al Alburquerque came in to close things for Tulsa. After Moore walked and stole second, Nick Gorneault hit an RBI single to right field to bring Moore home and take a lead. Two batters later, Efren Navarro singled to center to bring both Ryan Mount and Gorneault home to earn some breathing room.
Ismael Carmona (3-2) received the win after allowing only one run in his 1.1 innings of service. Alburquerque (1-4) allowed three earned runs on three hits in one full inning.
Tulsa will try to reignite its win streak at 7:10 in Little Rock for the series finale.
