OKLAHOMA CITY -- A quick start for the RedHawks turned into a long day on the mound for Oklahoma City pitcher Guillermo Moscoso.
OKC dropped its second straight contest to the Iowa Cubs on Sunday in a 9-5 loss at the Bricktown Ballpark.
Chris Davis and Brandon Boggs picked up RBIs in the bottom of the first for the RedHawks to put the team up 2-1.
But Moscoso surrendered seven runs in the second inning, including a grand slam to Iowa right fielder Brad Snyder.
Moscoso gave up 13 hits and eight earned runs in six innings on the mound. Jay Jackson got the win for the Cubs.
First baseman Matthew Brown homered in the fifth scoring Chris Davis, but the early Iowa scoring barrage was too much to overcome.
The RedHawks will continue their series against Iowa at 7:05 p.m. Monday at the Bricktown Ballpark.
