OKLAHOMA CITY -- Baylor defeated Oklahoma 8-3 in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament Friday. The Sooners will play Kansas State at 4:00 p.m. Saturday.

Garrett Buchele scored the first run of the game on a wild pitch in the third inning to give OU a 1-0 lead. However, that advantage was short lived as the Bears exploded for six runs in the bottom portion of the inning.

Raynor Campbell and Max Muncy each had two RBI hits in the bottom of the third inning. Cal Towey added an RBI single as the Bears took a 5-1 lead.

Towey would add a two-run double in the seventh to give Baylor an 8-3 advantage.

Tyler Ogle provided some pop for the Sooners with a two-run homer in the fifth inning to pull OU within two runs. But the Bears survived the charge, adding a single run in the sixth.

Zach Neal absorbs the loss for Oklahoma after allowing five earned runs in three innings. OU had just as many hits as Baylor, nine, but could not bring those runners home.

Baylor will play Kansas at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
