Tulsa Talons Lose Late In Cleveland

The Talons remain winless on their road after their loss to the Gladiators.

CLEVELAND -- The Tulsa Talons never led in their 68-55 loss to the Cleveland Gladiators Saturday. Tulsa falls to 0-3 on the road this season.

Cleveland scored the last 13 points of the game to pull away from a 55-55 tie. John Dutton threw for nine touchdowns and 397 yards on 28-of-48 passing. Ben Nelson hauled in the last score of the game to cap his six touchdown day. Nelson caught 13 passes for 202 yards.

The Talons tied the game twice but were never able to poke ahead of the Gladiators. Adam Huebner returned a fumble 16 yards for a touchdown to bring the Talons within one point of Cleveland in the third quarter.

Tulsa quarterback Justin Allgood had seven touchdown passes but threw two picks on 24-of-37 passing for 352 yards. Donovan Morgan had 188 receiving yards on 11 catches and two touchdowns.

The Talons host Oklahoma City at 7:00 p.m. next Saturday.
