STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma State softball team rebounded from an 11-1 Bedlam loss with a 4-0 win over Nebraska.
Anna Whiddon (20-6) rebounded from a .2 inning performance against Oklahoma with a complete game, two-hit performance against the Cornhuskers (28-24, 6-9). Whiddon struck out eight and retired the first six batters she faced.
Most of the Cowgirls’ (42-11, 11-4) offensive production came in the bottom of the first. With Katelyn Bright and Mariah Gerhart already on base, Julie Ward homered to center to give OSU a 3-0 lead.
Bright added another run in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single to right field to bring Kelsey Anchors home.
The Cornhuskers’ Ashley Hageman (13-12) also pitched a complete game, giving up five hits and three earned runs in her six innings of work.
